BALLINASLOE WORKMEN'S CLUB
The weekly meeting of the above was held on Sunday evening, 20th inst, at 8 p.m.

Minutes of the 13th February were confirmed.
Messers Thomas Simmons, Eugene Connolly, Joseph Foy, Michael Connolly, William Power, William Richardson, Paul Brennan, and Thomas Costelloe were elected members of the Club.
Mr Kelly handed in the following notive: - I beg to give notice that I will move, at next general meeting, for liberty to open a debating class in connection with the Ballinasloe Workmenís Club.
Mr Kelly said he had statements relative to the preliminary '98 (John O'Leary Branch), formed in the Hall, July 4, 1897, and matters connected therewith to submit, with the view of procuring the visit of an organiser, but as several of the members were away at a concert, he would ask to have the subject postponed until Sunday next, 20th February, 1898 which was agreed to.
All communications and other matters were left over for the committee, after which the meeting terminated.
